Kathy Dale is ³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ’s Director of Science Technology, focusing on the technology tools of the community science programs and data workflows for ³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ’s science products. Kathy also leads ³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ’s community science team in delivering programs such as ³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ’s Christmas Bird Count, Climate Watch and . 

Upon joining ³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ in 2001, Kathy’s role was to help grow the new online interactive components of ³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ’s Christmas Bird Count, the and ³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ’s eBird collaboration with Cornell’s Laboratory of Ornithology.

Kathy spent much of her career in information technology for national non-profit organizations such as the World Wildlife Fund, Physicians for Social Responsibility, and the ³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ Naturalist Society. She became a community scientist when she participated in her first Christmas Bird Count soon after college.
