A career ecologist and restoration manager with over 10 years of professional experience, Kara Fox serves as director of Gulf Coast Restoration for ³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ. Kara helps guide ³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ’s conservation work across the Gulf Coast to ensure comprehensive, science-based and community-supported restoration of the Gulf with a primary focus on bird recovery after the BP oil disaster. Kara came to ³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ after 7 years working on Gulf marine restoration issues at Ocean Conservancy. As a little girl, she made the Gulf of Mexico her playground; today, that love for the people in the region and unique species and habitats fuels her sense of purpose.
